The ignition of fat

The following all provided some useful material: The Corpse: A History (Christine Quigley), Rising from the Flames (Albert Carter and Jane Petroand), The Archaeology of Human Bones, and Human Remains (Andrew Chamberlain). Although these books are not primarily about cremation, they do contain some interesting notes on the topic.
